Financial Aid

Outside Funding Sources

Funding Sources

Funding Sources Applicants should research all available sources of college funding: parents, loans, benefactors, scholarships and tuition grants from local and national organizations. A great deal of available college funding goes unused each year for lack of applicants. The Internet and your local library and librarian can help you in your research for funding sources.

Sallie Mae

Work Study Program

Rockport College offers students the option to work on-campus for pay, which is then applied toward the cost of attending Rockport College. Work Study students work in the offices, labs, studios, technical departments, and library and perform general duties around the campus-cleaning up the grounds and setting up classrooms. Work Study students may work from 10 to 20 hours a week at a rate of $7/hour, resulting in from $1,050 to $2,100 for a 15-week term. Students on work-study are paid weekly, with standard deductions, or may have the net amount applied toward their tuition and fees balance.

These earnings are counted as income and will be taxed accordingly. Work-Study students must cover the remainder of their tuition, lab fee and materials, room and board through other financial aid packages. Requests for Work Study must be made and approved no later than 4 weeks before the start of each term.
