Fees and Costs

The fees below are for the 2007 fall term for the Professional Certificate programs. Fees and cost may be changed with six months notice. Individual courses may be taken for a per course fee, plus materials.

* Per term. Covers access to the Internet Cafe, on-campus social events, and personal counseling and some field trips.

Meals on Campus

* All full-time students are required to participate in the meal plan, regardless if they are residing on campus or off. Mealtime is a time for community sharing.

Accommodations on Campus

Student Residences are located on-campus and throughout Rockport, Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional Costs

Students will incur additional costs, to include field trips, additional materials, books, weekend meals, admission to events, concerts and films, and personal items. A more complete list of books, materials, equipment and items each student must provide is sent to pre-registered students a few weeks before each term begins.

Film Students: The Production Fee covers 16 & 35 mm film for testing only. Students are responsible for providing video tape and film stock for their own projects. A $1,000 deposit on the use of film and video equipment covers students for the deductible for potential loss of damage to the school's equipment.

Photography Students: Lab fees cover basic chemistry and materials for faculty demonstration. Students are required to provide their own film and paper, and any special chemistries.

Payment

All fees are to be paid in US. funds.

Payment must be received, or suitable arrangements made, 4 weeks prior to the start of each term. Financial Aid, including Work Study assignments, must also be approved at least 4 weeks before the start of any term. College loans through Key Bank Educational Department must be approved and payment received at least 4 weeks prior to the start of each term.

We will accept personal and company checks, provided final payment reaches us at least 4 weeks prior to the start of each term. We prefer not to use credit cards for final payment, however if a balance is paid by credit card, a surcharge may be added.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Enrollment is limited in our programs, so once you have been accepted, your participation is important to us. We are counting on you to attend. If you must withdraw from a program, we provide the following refund policy:

  • Withdrawal more than 30 days before the start of class and we will refund all monies paid, less the $75 application fee.
  • Withdrawal 30-days before the start of class and we will refund all monies paid, less the application fee and a $100 cancellation fee.
  • Withdrawal one week or less before the start of class and we will refund all monies paid, less a $600 cancellation fee.

    Withdrawals AFTER classes have begun, are subject to the following:

  • Withdraw during the first week of classes and we will refund all monies paid less a 15% cancellation fee.
  • Withdraw during the second week of classes and we will refund all monies paid less a 25% cancellation fee.
  • Withdraw during the third week of classes and we will refund all monies paid less a 40% cancellation fee.
  • Withdraw during the fourth week of classes and we will refund all monies paid less a 50% cancellation fee.
  • Withdraw later than the fourth week of classes and no refund will be granted.

    A cancellation fee of $100 will be assessed for cancellations of campus accommodations made within ten days before the start of a program

    Dismissal: Students who are dismissed for any reason forfeit all fees and monies paid.
